Dr. Amir Handelman received the BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering in 2008, 2011 and 2014, respectively, all from Tel-Aviv University, Israel. In 2014, Amir joined the faculty of Electrical Engineering in Holon Institute of Technology (HIT) as a tenure-track faculty member and established there the AI in Medicine and Optics Lab (AIMOL). In addition to his academic background, Amir has over 10 years' experience in computer vision and optics, which he gained during his works in several Hi-Tech companies, such as Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), Volume-Elements Ltd., and KLA-Tencor. During his Ph.D studies, Amir received several awards for excellence including SPIE and the Department of Physical-Electronics Award, and he is IEEE Senior Member. Amir is also a consultant in machine learning and computer vision in various Hi-Tech companies in Israel.
